Boob Magazine

Issue no. 1 Unveiling - Coming Soon
A magazine to showcase the similarities in art, design, and culture between the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Europe.
I started Boob in 2018 and have been working on the first edition since. I’ve worked with dozens of artists from the MENA and Europe, project managing and curating pieces, building relationships and building a brand.
I started this magazine because I realized that work from MENA is typically forgotten or misappropriated. I wanted to show that the culture and way of life, while unique, isn’t something to be othered by Western audiences. Every spread in Boob is a duet between an artist from MENA and one from Europe, showcasing the similarities, differences, and beauty of what happens when we come together.
Boob stands for Bainy wa Bainak, an expression in Arabic meaning “between me and you,” typically used to convey something very personal that you’d like to keep in confidence. The abbreviation of this expression is “boob,” which I’ve shown visually in the logo with the two “b”s in Arabic to make a boob-like shape.
